Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Banda Aceh Police, Police Commissioner Fadillah Aditya Pratama THE REPORTER | The case of the discovery of a skull and human skeleton at the foot of the mountain in Gampong Lamtadok, Darul Kamal District, Aceh Besar Regency is still being investigated by the Banda Aceh Police.
The discovery of the skeleton that shocked the community is suspected to be M Hafiz Al Fais (15), a teenager from Gampong Kandang, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar who had been missing.
Although the family has believed that it is their son and has picked him up and buried him, they agree that the DNA test will still be carried out.
Banda Aceh Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Fahmi Irwan Ramli through the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Senior Commissioner Fadillah Aditya Pratama said that currently his party is still waiting for the results of the victim’s DNA test at the Jakarta Forensic Laboratory which began in mid-October 2024.
“Currently we are just waiting for the results of the DNA test, if the results are out, the family will be confirmed,” said Senior Commissioner Fadillah, Friday, October 18, 2024.
Until now, the police have also not been able to detail the motive for Hafiz’s death and the next steps after the results of the genetic test are out.
“Once everything is complete, we will convey it,” explained the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Senior Commissioner Fadillah Aditya Pratama.
The discovery of Hafiz’s body by residents who were going to garden on Saturday, September 28, 2024, shortly after the discovery of the Astrea BL 3448 LH motorbike that he was riding when he first disappeared from home, after his parents asked him to buy credit.
After not returning home for two days, the family reported it to the police, and also tracked their child’s whereabouts to several areas outside Aceh Besar.
After almost two months, a skull and human skeleton were found by residents in several separate locations, along with a motorbike, and the uniform that Hafiz was last wearing.
In addition to being shocking, this incident had caused unrest and anxiety among the community who still hoped that the police could uncover the mystery of Hafiz’s disappearance and the discovery of the human skeleton.[AR]
