THE REPORTER | Heavy rain that poured down on North Aceh Regency on Tuesday, (08/10/2024) at around 01.10 WIB, resulted in flooding that submerged two sub-districts, namely Matangkuli Sub-district and Pirak Timu Sub-district.
A total of 37 villages were affected with water levels reaching 40-60 cm.
In Matangkuli Sub-district, 22 villages were submerged, while in Pirak Timu Sub-district there were 15 villages that were also affected. The total number of residents affected temporarily reached 2,432 heads of families (KK) or 7,526 people.
In addition to residents’ houses, the flood also submerged 488.5 hectares of rice fields in Matangkuli and 380 hectares in Pirak Timu.

Temporary data recorded thousands of people affected, with villages such as Gampong Leubok Pirak, Pante Pirak, to Tanjong Babah Krueng being the worst hit.[AR]
