Six Rohingya immigrants evacuated by Basarnas Team Due to Illness

THE REPORTER | Six Rohingya immigrants who were sick had to be evacuated by the Joint SAR Team from the boat they were on in the waters of Labuhan Haji, South Aceh Regency.

Basarnas Coordinator for Meulaboh Post Juanda said that the sick immigrants had been taken by ambulance to the Yuliddin Away Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Tapaktuan.

“Six Rohingya immigrants were evacuated to land due to illness. While the others are still on the motorboat,” said Juanda, Sunday, October 20, 2024.

Juanda said that the six people who were evacuated consisted of three adult women, one of whom was pregnant, two men and a small child.

“Basarnas recorded the number of Rohingya immigrants on the motorboat as 151 people. Consisting of 79 women, 13 men, and 59 children under the age of 10,” he explained.[AR]
